I’m not very fond of the paint drying (it’s rather gritty…), so I may have to go out and maybe find some sort of Gloss finish… (then again I don’t really like glossy looks either… it becomes too flashy, so I might just leave it the way it is). Painting was rather difficult too, since I’m not quite sure what kind of paint to use, so it’s just painted with a rather inexpensive generic Acrylic paints. Luckily I managed to patch it up with a 2nd cooking. Originally my knight actually wears glasses, but because I didn’t want to work with transparency (which would be plastic), I just removed the glasses all together.ĭifficulties I came upon while working with this project… it fell over in the oven… and when cooked, came out with 3 battle scars (oven grates on different places of the sculpture). I even went so far as to create a second one… which will be uploaded soon, once I paint it that is. It was made out of Super Scupley clay, which is some very nice (expensive) clay, some Wire, and also Aluminum Foil.Īnyway…since there hasn’t been any Spiral Knight Figurine Collectibles… (shifty eyes) I decided to make one! (also because I don’t feel like drawing on paper).ĭuring this whole project I was giggling to myself also adoring how cute my knight was. The whole sculpture is about 7 inches tall. YAY! I finished it! My first clay crafting project! It was tons of fun, no lie! I spent about 3 days on this thing with some added distractions. ![]()
